The main idea was to create a building of the intersec-tion between the leisure and working areas of the fire-men. Garage, living quarters, and runway for the firede-partment’s planes are handled like three bands laid atop each other. A canopylike structure climatizes the living quarters in the Provence high summer heat.

An installation

This is a project for a small art gallery, curated by me and two friends of mine. The gallery space itself is an elevator. The constant movement, the small size, and the flow of people create an inspiring situation. We invite fellow artists to create installations, which relate strongly to the setting. The the “CYBORG” installation makes the user of the elevator aware of the interdependence between the human and the machine; flesh and steel. No movement can occur without the interplay of the other part of this

strange system, The installation is formed by al-gorythms found in the biological growth processes. It is flexible and keeps on wobling and resonating even as the elevator stops, giving an organlike character to the elevator. Materials used are a child play foamrubber truncated octahedron, and fex-ible opaque tube, welded into the branching shape.

A multifunctional events centre

A multifunctional events centre

The huge derelict industrial area in the small town of Szolnok shall be repurposed as a highschool campus and cultural area.My proposal transforms an old generator-plant into a multifunctional events cen-tre. The hallspace itself is left empty, while the sup-porting functions are dis-tributed into mobile units. They can be attached to the main building, or distribut-ed on the whole area, and allow endless possibiliies. They are either moved by the crane over the genera-tor hall or by car-cranes on the area.

The square retains a very rough character. It aims to merge the boundary of the city, the river Theis, and the huge field of grass to the west, while being in-dustrial and showing eternal transformation and change. Simple reused cobble-stones with big gaps are laid down to let weeds and grass grow freely on spots which are not used. Subtle indentations on the plane produce places to sit and let rainwater collect on their bottom. The aim was to create a pace of generating force on the verge of striated and smooth space.
