    Midwifery as in the title of this document and as defined by the American College of

    Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) refers to the education and practice of certified midwives (CMs)

    and certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) who have been certified by the (ACNM or the

    American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
