They are simple but beautiful and majority of the elements for the packages are Fiji Made or found on Malolo Lailai. The Fiji made items are via Rise Beyond the Reef – the items were hand made by artisans in the remote villages of Ba, Nadi (Viti Levu) and pocks of Macuata (Vanua Levu) where poverty is above Fiji’s national rural poverty rate. The items are not only authentic but contribute to families and communities who really need it and assist in passing on the knowledge of these traditional crafts to future generations.

Plantation Island Resort Wedding Celebrants

Introducing Mr Apisai Vasu (Api) and Mrs Miriama Soqosoqo (Miri), Plantation Island Resort’s

very own in-house legally recognised Civil Marriage Celebrants.

Having Civil Marriage Celebrants based at Plantation Island Resort means there is no need for

couples to go to the Registry Office on the mainland for their wedding documentation, it speeds

up the entire process and is much more convenient for the bride and groom. All you have to do is

scan or take a photo of all your documentation and email it to [email protected] at

least 1 month before your wedding date.

Plantation Island Resort can also now offer weddings at all times of the day and night including

Sunday’s and Public Holidays without worrying about logistics and ferry transfers.

It also means couples can develop a relationship with their celebrant and know exactly who will

be officiating over them on their special day. Api and Miri also assist in organising weddings so

you get a one stop shop and attentive experience.

Wedding Details & RequirementsDeposit and PaymentOnce you have settled on your preferred available date, you will need to secure this date with an advance

deposit of FJD$500. Please note we only hold 1 wedding per day so this deposit guarantees that date is

special just for you.

50% of the entire wedding package is therefore required 6 months prior to your wedding date and full

payment required 1 month prior.

Wedding Cancellation Policy The following charges for the Wedding will be levied if the booking is partially or totally cancelled:

Within 60 days of wedding date 50% of total wedding cost

Within 30 days of wedding date No refund

Marriage LicenseTo apply for your Marriage License we recommend that you send the following at least 1 month prior to your

wedding date to [email protected]

• Copy of current passports

• Birth certificates

• Divorce decree (if divorced)

• Death certificate (if widowed)

• If there has been a name change, you will also need to provide supporting documentation for this.

All documents must be in English or have an official English translation.

Documents required for a Catholic Wedding:• Baptism Certificate

• Freedom to Marry Certificate

• Pre-nuptial enquiry form, signed and endorsed by the couples parish Priest

• Notification that the couple have had their pre-marriage instruction course.

If you require an Apostle Seal on your Marriage Certificate (required by all countries other than Australia and

New Zealand), the Wedding Coordinator will need to personally take the original certificate to be Apostle
