Pinhole Camera Assignment
Objective
• To build a working pinhole camera in order to produce a negative with a range of tones.
• To use Adobe Photoshop to creatively edit a pinhole image.
Description
You and your team will construct a working pinhole camera. You will each use your camera to
produce an image that has a range of tones and takes advantage of the pinhole medium’s
intrinsic qualities of long shutter speeds, distortion, vignetting, and interesting angle of view.
Requirements
• Working pinhole camera
• Clean test strip
• One good negative per team member
• One good positive per team member with rubric
• One completed binder for whole team.
Team Binder:
Use one view binder to collect all the following information. Use sheet protectors for pages
that include test strips and images.
