Treatment for Substance Abuse and Co-occurring Mental Health DisordersPsychiatric and other specialized behavioral health services are integrated into our various inpatient, residential and outpatient programs to address the needs of patients with substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders. Services include:

• Psychiatric and psychological evaluations • Psychological testing • Psychiatric stabilization • Medication monitoring • Specialized groups (e.g., depression, trauma) • Individual therapy

Medical Detoxification and Inpatient StabilizationOur inpatient setting is designed to safely and rapidly detoxify patients in a positive setting as well as stabilize those who are in need of observation prior to stepping down to other levels of care. Our patients are guided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by a highly trained staff that access and treat the medical and emotional needs of each patient. Inpatient Stabilization and Detoxification includes:

• Medically-supervised detoxification • Psychiatric and psychological assessments • Psychiatric stabilization • Individual and group counseling • Case management and discharge planning • Relapse prevention • Substance abuse education • Nutritional assessment and education • Introduction to the 12-Step philosophy • Recreational activities

Residential RehabilitationResidential treatment is a therapeutic environment designed to help patients develop a drug-free and sober lifestyle. Our aim is to stabilize patients and return them to communities with all the necessary skills to fully function and thrive without the use of mood-altering substances. The Residential Rehabilitation treatment consists of:

• Individual and group counseling • Relapse prevention • Educational lectures • Family involvement • Introduction to and participation in the 12-Step fellowship • Recreation • Drug testing • Aftercare • Treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders

Day Treatment/Partial HospitalizationThe Partial Hospitalization program is designed for patients who require more than outpatient but less than inpatient care. Patients participate in a comprehensive, customized treatment program, up to seven days a week and up to eight hours a day. • Individual and group counseling • Treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders • Relapse prevention • Individual therapy as appropriate • Specialized groups focused on co-occurring disorders • Drug testing

Outpatient ServicesOutpatient services offer structured treatment programs for adults and youth with substance abuse as well as other co-occurring psychological problems. Outpatient treatment includes:

• Individual, couple, family and group therapy • Educational recovery and relapse prevention groups • Introduction to 12-Step meetings • Access to community resources • Treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders • Domestic violence services for men and women • Parenting groups and integrated family services

Supportive and Transitional HousingSupportive and Transitional Housing provides continued support and recovery-oriented services to patients who:

• Have successfully completed treatment • May benefit from the support of living with others in recovery • Are ready to transition to independent community living

Family ServicesFamily Services are incorporated into our various programs. These services include educational and process groups, as well as individual family therapy, when indicated.

Family Medical Care ServicesOur family medical care clinics serve residents in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys and our behavioral healthcare patients. Family Medical Care services include:

• Diagnosis and treatment of acute, episodic and chronic illnesses • Health promotion • Disease prevention and maintenance • Patient education • HIV treatment and education

Youth ServicesThe Youth Services Program is tailored to the unique behavioral, family and academic problems youth experience with substance abuse. Services include: • Individual and group counseling • Family involvement • Accredited, on-site schools • Social and recreational programs • Youth-oriented introduction to the concept of 12-Step meetings and activities • Treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders

HIV ServicesTarzana Treatment Centers HIV Services provides affected patients with vital health education and treatment strategies for an improved and extended quality of life. Our program services address prevention, treatment, attitude and the psychosocial needs, and disease management surrounding HIV/AIDS, which profoundly impacts substance users as well as the needs of the community at large.

Specialized Services for Women, and Women and Their ChildrenThe philosophy and structure of this program is similar to our Residential Rehabilitation program and is designed specifically for women, women and their children, and families. Experienced staff works with pregnant and postpartum women and their children. Special services include:

• On-site therapeutic nursery • Parenting education • Family counseling • HIV/AIDS education • Mother/child case management • Play group for the children • Treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders Medication Assisted TreatmentNew medications have been developed in recent years to assist in the treatment of addictive disorders. These medications are used in conjunction with treatment in all of our levels of care. • Vivitrol • Buprenorphine – Subutex and Suboxone • Methadone • Nicotine Replacement Therapy
