Project title: BEATS! Magazine

Project:

Project Description:

BEATS is a new indie rock magazine in the market that provides the latest music news, gossip and new upcoming band/artists alerts.

Photographer:

Who is it going to be? Amelia MorrisTechnical Codes –Lighting – SpotlightsPost Production – I will be using Photoshop CS5 as my Photo editing and magazine post-production. This is because it is an extremely effective computer software that has many different tools to allow me to accurately produce my magazine pages as professional and realistic as possible.

Reasons behind the title inside this box

I have chosen to call my final Magazine name BEATS! This was because it was the most popular name choice when I was researching the target audience for my new magazine idea. Other name ideas were Music Matters and Rock Your Music, but these were not as popular to the target audience.

BEATS is also very short, snappy and it is not too wordy, which makes the reader want to know more about who they are and they have to offer?

Unit 13 and 14 – Planning and Producing a Print Media Product – Photo-shoot PlanCasting:

These are three different shot types of George Ezra that helped, supported and inspired me when thinking about taking my own images for BEATS! Music magazine.

Reasons behind WHY this person are suitable – Who do they look like?I have chosen this person to star in the first issue of BEATS Magazine as a George Ezra look alike because he has very similar features to him in a lot of different ways through his professional, indie/folk, acoustic singer vibe.

Model requirements:

Summarize How tall they should be and how they need to look like the intended Artist/Band Member you wish to conduct an Interview with.Tony Rossetti is roughly about 6 foot, which is about the same as George Ezra. He needs to have much blonder hair. I will achieve this by selecting his hair accurately using a familiar selection tool i.e. the laso tool or quick selection tool either one will do the same job. I will also use the refine edge tool, which will make sure that I haven’t missed any bits out of the selected area.

Wardrobe and Look:

Why these items?Source of inspiration?

I will need to ask Tony to use an acoustic or an electric guitar to hold in the photoshoot. He will also need to sit down on a stool with the guitar

Hair and Make up:

What Hair & Make Up do you need to use? Why? Source of inspiration?

Tony’s hair just needs to be styled naturally or combed to the side. His hair also needs to be fair/blonde not brown as seen in the picture above. It also helps that Photoshop has the right tools i.e. quick selection tool, lasso tool, eye droper and the swatches panel to be able to accurately and realistically change the color of the hair.

Where:

Tony’s studio (House)
