Her father has a new wife. She is a wicked woman. Her stepmother does not love Cinderella. She only loves her daughters. Cinderella has got two nasty stepsisters. They are lazy and unkind girls. Cinderella does all house-work.

Cindarella always wakes up very early. She opens the window of her small room and says good morn-ing to her little friends. She gets up at seven o’clock in the morning. She washes her face and puts on her old dress. Cinderella does not have breakfast, she only has some water and a slice of brown bread.

Cinderella usually starts work at eight and she works all day. She cleans the house, dusts the fur-niture, does the washing, feeds the animals, cooks food. When she goes to bed she is very tired.

The stepsisters get up very late. They get up at noon and have big breakfast. They usually have hot chocolate and sweet rolls and cakes. Sometimes they have their breakfast in bed. They are ugly sisters, but they always wear beautiful dresses and hats. They go to balls every week and come home very late.

The year has four seasons. They are spring, summer, autumn and winter. The weather changes from season to season. It is cold in winter and hot in summer.

THE SEASONS
