“Meeting Students Where They Are”

La Salle University is a dynamic educational community shaped by traditional Lasallian and Catholic values: a deep respect for each individual, a belief that intellectual and spiritual development go hand in hand, a passion for creative teaching and learning, and a conviction that education should be useful for personal growth, professional advancement, and service to others.

In the tradition of St. John Baptist de La Salle, the patron saint of teachers, our experienced and dedicated faculty will challenge you academically while providing you with the support and attention you need to reach your full potential. Whether you enroll through our nationally renowned Honors Program, any one of our 50 undergraduate majors, or our

Summit Program, which provides personalized and focused academic learning support, our distinctive programming “meets students where they are” academically. For more than 150 years, La Salle University has been educating a wide variety of academ- ically talented students from various backgrounds, preparing them for successful careers and rewarding lives and urging them to

Our outstanding faculty in the School of Business are more than just leading professionals within their disciplines. They’re also dedicated mentors and advisers.

In addition to overseeing the development of each student’s plan of study, they’ll work to fine tune career objectives as graduation approaches.

Between the work of our dedicated faculty and the ability for our students to gain work experience through co-ops and internships, we consistently prove that La Salle means business.

What Does It Mean to be Lasallian?

The name “La Salle” has been in the lexicon of Philadelphia for more than 150 years. The adjective Lasallian, used to identify all that is distinctive about La Salle’s education and com- munity, is frequently used here by students, faculty, and staff. It is also the word that links this campus to the 1,000 schools and educa- tional institutions worldwide that are operated in the tradition of St. John Baptist de La Salle.

At La Salle University, you are part of a global community of educators dedicated to helping others. As educators, it is our duty to provide personal attention and excellence in teaching and learning with a global perspective. Make no mistake about it—our community centers around the student. No one is more important.

In addition to a focus on education, the Lasallian mission is also service-based. Our community binds our students, faculty, and staff and fuels our dedication to help others. You will find examples of this on our service trips, at our alumni events, and in the work we do in our surrounding neighborhoods.

We invite you to visit us, interact with us, and develop your own perspective on what it means to be Lasallian.
