More than 125 years of glass experience
SCHOTT as a leading technology group ranks number one in the world with many of its products. Our core markets are the household appliance, solar power, pharmaceuticals, electronics, optics, transportation and architecture industries. • 1884 Founding of the company in Jena. Otto Schott provides the scientific foundation for developing specialized glasses.
• 1891/1919 SCHOTT becomes a foundation enterprise. Its sole owner is the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung (Foundation).
• 1911 FIOLAX® market introduction.
• 1923 Start pharmaceutical packaging production.
• 1948 Expropriation of the main plant in Jena.
• 1952 New start in the West: The SCHOTT Group selects Mainz for its headquarters. SCHOTT returns as a leading supplier of special glasses.
• 1954 First manufacturing site (Brazil) established outside of Germany.
• 2004 Conversion to a corporation, SCHOTT AG. Its sole shareholder is the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung.

Worldwide standard SCHOTT FIOLAX® is a Type I glass tubing that complies with all international pharmaceutical regulations. Its low alkali content and high hydrolytic resistance set the worldwide standard.
Steady supply worldwideIn order to ensure the steady supply worldwide, SCHOTT produces FIOLAX® glass tubing at five production sites on three continents. All manufacturing sites meet the same outstanding quality standards as defined in the technical terms of supply. Whether produced in Europe, Asia, or South America: all process steps are completely transparent, quality controlled and can be traced back from the molten glass to the batch.
Validated with thousands of drugsSince 1911, the outstanding qualification of SCHOTT FIOLAX® for pharmaceutical applications has been validated with thousands of drugs. Ampoules for the highest pharmaceutical requirements
Ampoules offer special benefits: the medication is only in contact with the glass and the packaging is 100 % tamper-proof.
SCHOTT Xinkang produces ampoules according to ISO specifications or according to your special design from 1 ml to 20 ml in clear or amber glass with different break systems.
Several color rings can be placed on the stem or body for identification purposes.

For all of our pen cartridge production lines, state-of-the-art in-process control (IPC) is well established worldwide, including 100 % IPC for dimensional tolerances and 100 % IPC of cosmetic defects through Automated Inspection System (AIS) followed by an automated packaging process in a controlled environment.

A full range of injection vials
A broad range of vials from 1 ml to 100 ml with different neck finish designs are available. Our product range includes injection vials and screw neck vials in clear glass and amber glass as well as coated and printed vials.
FIOLAX® amber additionally offers effective protection from ultra-violet rays and short-wave visible light.Our vial quality complies with international standards.

Your local global partner
Delivery from two production sites in China.
SuzhouThe Suzhou site opened in 2007 as a SCHOTT subsidiary. The site produces pharmaceutical packaging using only high-quality SCHOTT FIOLAX® tubing on fully imported state-of-the-art production equipment. To ensure the high quality of the products, our employees are regularly trained through the international SCHOTT network.
Processes are supported by the use of a well-established SAP system. Suzhou site is fully integrated into the SCHOTT Pharmaceutical Systems worldwide network.
Jinyun Jinyun has 25 years of experience in the high-end pharmaceutical packaging market. It is a production site with high automation level. Jinyun serves over 200 customers including the largest local pharmaceutical companies and offers a 24/7 premium customer service.
The Jinyun site will benefit from integration into the SCHOTT processes.
