KATA PENGANTAR

Puji syukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, karena atas berkatnya penulis dapat

menyelesaikan penyusunan laporan tugas akhir dengan baik. Laporan tugas akhir

yang berjudul “Perancangan Ulang Identitas Visual Kampung Budaya

Sindangbarang Bogor” ini ditulis sebagai salah satu syarat untuk memperoleh gelar

Sarjana Desain (S.Ds.) di Universitas Multimedia Nusantara.

Pembahasan mengenai topik ini penting karena Kampung Budaya

Sindangbarang belum memiliki identitas visual yang dapat merepresentasikannya

sebagai tempat wisata budaya. Hal tersebut menyebabkan penggunaan logo yang

tidak konsisten dan munculnya persepsi yang salah dari masyarakat mengenai logo

Kampung Budaya Sindangbarang. Oleh karena itu, penulis memberikan soludi

terhadap permasalahan yang terjadi melalui perancangan ulang identitas visual.

Dalam penulisan laporan ini, penulis mempelajari banyak hal baru tentang sejarah,

seni dan budaya Sunda serta melihat kehidupan masyarakat kampung yang unik

dan berbeda dengan perkotaan. Penulis berharap laporan dan perancangan tugas

akhir ini dapat memberikan manfaat bagi para pembaca.

Selama penulisan dan perancangan tugas akhir ini, penulis tidak dapat

menyelesaikan laporan tugas akhir ini dengan baik tanpa dukungan dari pihak-

pihak lain. Maka dari itu, penulis ingin mengucapkan terima kasih yang sebesar-

ABSTRAKSI

Kampung Budaya Sindangbarang merupakan kampung adat yang dibangun

kembali menjadi tempat wisata budaya dan kampung Sunda tertua di wilayah

Kabupaten Bogor yang sudah berdiri sejak abad ke XII pada zaman Kerajaan

Pajajaran. Kampung Budaya Sindangbarang didirikan kembali untuk

mempertahankan warisan peninggalan Kerajaan Pajajaran dan nilai-nilai

kebudayaan suku Sunda yang mulai ditinggalkan masyarakat. Namun sangat

disayangkan, sebagai salah satu destinasi wisata yang kaya akan seni dan budaya

Sunda, Kampung Budaya Sindangbarang belum memiliki identitas serta memiliki

tiga logo yang berbeda-beda, sehingga menyebabkan penggunaan logo yang

digunakan masih beragam dan tidak konsisten. Maka dari itu, perlu dilakukan

perancangan ulang identitas visual untuk Kampung Budaya Sindangbarang.

Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara, penyebaran kuisioner, dan juga

observasi secara langsung di lokasi kampung budaya. Diharapkan dari data

penelitian dapat menghasilkan perancangan identitas visual yang dapat

merepresentasikan nilai dan citra Kampung Budaya Sindangabarang sebagai

tempat peninggalan dari Kerajaan Pajajaran dan tempat wisata yang melestarikan

tradisi, seni, dan budaya Sunda di Bogor.

ABSTRACT

Kampung Budaya Sindangbarang is a traditional village that was rebuilt and the

oldest Sundanese village in the Bogor Regency area which has been around since

the XII century during the Pajajaran Kingdom era. The purpose of the Kampung

Budaya Sindangbarang is to maintain the inheritance of Pajajaran Kingdom and

cultural values of Sundanese tribe which are slowly beginning to be abandoned.

Unfortunately, as one of the tourist destinations that have various Sundanese arts

and cultures, Kampung Budaya Sindangbarang doesn’t have aan identity and has

three different logos, which causes the logo used are diverse and inconsistent.

Hence, it is necessary to redesign the visual identity of Kampung Budaya

Sindangbarang. The research method are interviews, questionnaries, and direct

observation at the cultural village. Hopefully, this research data can produce a

visual identity design that can represent the value dan brand image of Kampung

Budaya Sindangbarang as a heritage place of Pajajaran Kingdom and a tourist

destinations that preserves Sundanese tradition, art, and culture in B
