Meeting called to order at 9:03 AM. Notice was posted. Attendance was taken and quorum was present.

BUSINESSPresident's Report - Sarah Ransom

Kathryn Terry has stepped down as ISF Representative. Sarah Miller has joined the Board in that role The Board is recommending that our Standing Rules by changed in two ways: (1) Changing Rule #8 to

include Vice President and (2) Changing Rule #11 to add 5th Grade Chair back onto the Board. Jill Bengis moved to accept the changes to the Standing Rules as presented and Jessica Mills seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

Everyone who contributed to the class baskets for the auction was thanked. The State PTSA Convention is April 25th-27th in Bellevue. We have budgeted for 4 people attending

and we have 4 delegate votes. After discussion, Caroline Burton-Moore moved that Jill Bengis, Melinda Flores, Lindsay Mayer and Julie O'Brien e our delegates to the PTSA State Convention. Lisa Baisler seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

We need a Membership Chair for next year.

Nominating Report - Jill Bengis Jill read a list of those on the slate for next year's Board (attached) with the nominees as follows:

Andie Adee moved to accept the executive slate as proposed by the Nominating Committee for the 2014-2015 Board. Lisa Baisler seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Secretary's Report - Sally Morgan

Minutes from the January General Membership Meeting were submitted and filed as presented with a thank you to Caroline Burton-Moore for taking notes at the last meeting.

Treasurer's Report - Janet Bien Culture Night made a $99 profit when we expected none. Science Fair is this week. We anticipate some revenue from food sales. We just received $8300 in matching funds. The buy-down to bring down the cost of 5th Grade camp is complete. We have about $2380 leftover

for the 5th Grade party and class gift. The Board is recommending that the budget for the auction be changed to increase the outflow to

$8500 and increase the income to $14,000. After discussion, Jill Bengis moved to increase the auction budget inflow to $14,000 and outflow to $8500. Sarah Miller seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously.

Principal's Report - Kathy Connally (Absent) Based on Kathy's report at our last Board Meeting Sarah Ransom shared the following:

o Culture Night was a great success and our Chairs were thanked. o The Full-Day Kindergarten Lottery is now complete and everyone got in that wanted to.o Assessments of incoming Kindergartners for the pre-K summer program are going on now.o 4th Graders are taking the MSP online this year.

COMMITTEE REPORTSVOLUNTEERS - Lisa Baisler We are thinking about the year ahead and what positions need to be filled. Anyone interested in being

on the Board or serving as a Chairperson should contact Lisa. Discussed Field Day Chair person responsibilities and needs.

WAYS & MEANS - Andie Adee We need to get the word out about the auction. As of Thursday, we have sold 27 tickets. There will be 3 separate silent auctions and we have a great auctioneer lined up. April's Movie Day was moved to May 7th due to a schedule conflict with 5th Grade Camp.

COMMUNICATIONS - Caroline Burton-Moore - Nothing to Report

PROGRAMS - Jill Bengis The Science Fair is this week. We need volunteers and judges. We will need to coordinate the dates of

this with BLMS next year. It conflicts with their musical this year. Eager Reader ends this week. Planning for Art Walk is underway. Information about Mariner's Day is going out soon. Jill plans to meet with Kathy regarding afterschool clubs soon.

MEMBERSHIP - Jessica Mills Jessica encouraged parents to consider taking on the Membership position next year.

ISF - Sarah Miller

The ISF Luncheon is May 7th and the breakfast is May 14th. There is a suggested donation of $150 but it is not required. We would like to fill a table at both. A sign-up sheet was circulated.

Advocacy - Pat Castillo - Absent

NEW BUSINESS The New Board will officially take office July 1st. There will be a retreat in May and a Pass the Baton

Board Meeting in June.
