Sometimes, it’s just not possible to move forward without investing in new capabilities. It’s going to be a big deal. You need the right information to make the right investment – one which results in the outcomes you are looking for today and for many years to come.

Acquisition ServicesUK military operations are dependent on the timely and appropriate delivery of resources, including fuel. We have people who know how to understand requirements. When the UK MOD wanted to invest in new systems to meet the varied needs of users across three services, our people created a model of the receipt, storage, distribution and issue of fuel to front-line units in the field using operational analysis skills. This model was used to generate new systems requirements and deliver 30% savings, eliminating risk by ensuring the right quantity of fuel was delivered to the right location. Our people supported the procurement all the way through competitive dialogue to contract award.

E-evaluationOnce programmes are designed, bids need to be evaluated. The process of procurement begins. All government purchases, large or small, are rightly subject to the highest levels of scrutiny. When Transport for London needed to invite tenders for a new engineering and project management consultancy framework, worth up to £500 million, it had to be sure of a clear and transparent audit trail. We have people who know how to deliver robust electronic tender evaluation using our AWARD® software. With all 750 relevant documents loaded onto the tool, the AWARD dashboard enabled the team to spot bottlenecks and address them, even though evaluators were working remotely. It also helped explain evaluation decisions to disappointed tenderers.

Performance-Based ContractingWhen the Royal Australian Navy was planning to procure a new multi-purpose assault ship, a Landing Helicopter Dock, it wanted to be sure it contracted with suppliers effectively. We have people who know how to design performance based contracting. Our people are ensuring that the tendering and evaluation process will result in the procurement of a sustainable vessel and the final contract will hold suppliers to account through the life of the platform.
