Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
For the next couple of weeks in Marchr l am organizing a fundraising event called 66Pennies
for Patients". It benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It wilI run from Tuesday,March I thru Friday, April 1,2011 and I will need your help along with your child's helpfor the campaign to be suCbessful!
Pennies for Patients provides an opportunity for children to raise funds to support theLeukemia & Lyrnphoma Society's efforts to find cures for leukemiar lymphoma, myelomaand other blood cancers. Children experience the satisfaction that comes from helpingothers by collecting lpare change in honor of local, school:- aged patients battling bloodcancers.
Thd basic concept of the campaign is to have your child bring in change and put it in theesllection box that is provided in the classrooms. - - ' :,':--
The reward is a pnzaparty for the class who collects the most money. Our target is $500.00as i school.
If you and your child would like to learn more about this campaign you can log ontowww.schoolandyouth.org/nyc. The website is a great resource and even has games foryounger children.
Funds raised will help support the society's efforts to find cures and improve the quality ofIife of patients and their families. In fact 75Vo of the Society's total expenses support cancerresearch, education and advoeacy and services for patients.
Thank you in advance for your support for this very worthy cause.
Sincerely
