The treasures of the Archbishopric of Ohrid are very important to us, last time evidenced in 1940, before the fire took the Church Holy Virgin in Skopje where they were kept, Fortunately the inventory was published in Spomenica by R. Grujic, and the most valuable objects were actually taken by Bulgarian army before the fire was set up. Presently they are partly exhibited in the Archaeological and Church Museum in Sofia. In a document dated in 1516 its treasury is regarded as one of the first Medieval institutions that bears the title Museum (Museon). Namely, there is a seal discovered in Ohrid that has the following inscription: Seal of the general museum (ΜΟΥΣΕΙΟΥ) of the Holy and Apostle’s sea Justiniana Prima Ohrid and of whole Bulgaria” while in the mid in Arabic the year 1516 is written. It is supposed it was ecclesiastical Institution founded in the Middle
