What does STAR involve?

•Attending an introductory session 

•Participating in a specified Students’ Association or community volunteering role 

•Selecting a STAR Award level – bronze, silver or gold 

•Participating in two workshops on skills development and

interview technique

•Maintaining an ePortfolio-based reflective diary

•Undertaking an assessed competency-based interview to measure achievement of Aberdeen Graduate Attributes

Piloting HEAR

• An Aberdeen HEAR Working Group has been established

• The University is evaluating the co-curriculum recognition process, with a view to recognising the STAR Award on the leaving Student Transcript

• In the context of STAR, section 6.1 of HEAR is particularly relevant

• It is anticipated that HEAR will also verify students’ achievement of Graduate Attributes

• Provide evidence of our Curriculum Reform ambitions
