Mallorca hat ein Streckennetz von Gemeindestraßen und Nebenstrecken, die über große Ebenen, leichte Hügel, harte Steigungen und durch spektakuläre Berge führen. Die große Mehrheit dieser Landstraßen bilden das Netz für den Fahrradtourismus. Unser Bestreben war es dabei, diese Wege der Ausführung des Radwanderns und der Benutzung mit dem Fahrrad anzupassen. Die Verbesserung der Ausschilderung dieser Routen hatte dabei höchste Priorität.In diesem Sinne sind es dann auch viele der Profiteams, die unsere Insel dafür benutzen, sich während des Winters in Hinblick auf die nächste Saison in Form zu bringen und jedes Jahr werden es mehr, die diesen schönen Sport ausführen.

Bicycle Tourism

Mallorca has an entire network of local roads and secondary motorways that run all along the lengthy plains, gently rolling hills, steep inclines and spectacular mountains. The vast majority of these roads are part of Mallorca’s bicycle tourism network. Our efforts have consisted of adapting these roads for bicycle tourism and bicycle use. Improved signage of these routes has been one of the top priorities.Indeed, many professional teams have used our island for winter training because of the mild temperatures, and every year sees more practitioners of this lovely sport.

CicloturismoMallorca cuenta con una red de carreteras, formada por caminos vecinales y carreteras de segundo orden, que discurren por grandes planicies, suaves colinas, duras pendientes y montañas espectaculares. Buena parte de estas carreteras forman la red de rutas cicloturísticas de Mallorca. Nuestro esfuerzo ha consistido en adecuar esas carreteras para practicar el cicloturismo e ir en bicicleta. La mejora de la señalización de estas rutas ha sido una de las principales prioridades.En este sentido son muchos los equipos profesionales que utilizan nuestra isla para la puesta a punto durante el invierno en vista a la temporada siguiente, debido a las suaves temperaturas, y cada año va en aumento.

Verhaltensregeln Für Radfahrer

• Befolgen Sie die Regeln der Straßenverkehrsordnung.

• Es ist Pfl icht, auf der Straße stets mit Helm zu fahren und Kleidung in gut sichtbaren Farben zu tragen.

• Verwenden Sie beim Radfahren keine Kopfhörer.

• Zeigen Sie Abweichungen und/oder Richtungswechsel immer an.

• Fahren Sie in Situationen mit eingeschränkter Sichtbarkeit mit Beleuchtung vorn und hinten am Rad.

• Respektieren Sie Fußgänger, indem Sie vor gekennzeichneten Zebrastreifen anhalten und nicht auf Bürgersteigen oder in Fußgängerzonen fahren, wo Unfälle mit Passanten geschehen können.

• Fahren Sie nicht in zu großen Gruppen, die von Autofahrern nur schwer überholt werden können. (Bilden Sie Gruppen von 20-25, also 10 oder 12 Paare).

• Fahren Sie niemals im Trupp, sondern in Kolonne mit höchstens zwei Rädern nebeneinander; auf kurvigen Straßen ohne Seitenstreifen sollten Sie versuchen, einzeln hintereinander zu fahren.

• Erleichtern Sie Überholmanöver, wann immer möglich, oder warnen Sie vor Gefahren auf Straßen mit geringer Sichtweite, Kurven usw.

• Seien Sie an Kreuzungen und Kreisverkehren besonders aufmerksam. Wenn Sie ein Fahrzeug an einer Kreuzung oder einem Kreisverkehr stehen. Sehen und Sie Vorfahrt haben, vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Fahrer Sie gesehen hat.

• Fahren Sie nicht auf die andere Fahrbahn, um Kurven im Gefälle besser auszufahren - das kann schwerwiegende Folgen haben.

Cyclist decalogue

• Respect the highway code.

• When riding on the road a helmet and high visibility clothing must be worn.

• Do not use headphones when cycling.

• Always signal your manoeuvres and/or changes in direction.

• Your bicycle must have front and back lights in poor visibility.

• Respect pedestrians by stopping at marked crossings and not riding on pavements or pedestrianised streets where accidents could be caused to pedestrians.

• Do not ride in big groups that make it diffi cult for other vehicles to overtake (make groups of 20-25, i.e. 10-12 pairs).

• Never ride more than two abreast and in winding roads without a verge try to ride in single fi le.

• Help other vehicles overtake provided it is safe or warn of danger on roads with low visibility, bends, etc.

• Pay particular attention at junctions and roundabouts. When you see a vehicle at a junction or roundabout and you have the right of way make sure the driver has seen you.

• Do not drift into the other lane to take the bends better as this may have serious consequences.

• Maintain your bicycle and check mechanical safety aspects such as tyres, breaks, etc.

Decálogo del ciclista• Respetar el código general de circulación.

• Es obligatorio circular siempre con casco en carretera y utilizar siempre ropa de colores visibles.

• No utilizar auriculares durante la marcha.

• Señalar siempre nuestros desplazamientos y/o cambios de dirección.

• Llevar dispositivos de iluminación delante y atrás en situaciones de visibilidad comprometida.

• Respetar a los peatones, parándonos en los pasos señalizados y no circulando por aceras o calles peatonales donde pueden haber accidentes con peatones.

• No circular en grupos demasiado numerosos que hagan difícil su adelantamiento por los vehículos (Hacer grupos de 20-25, es decir, 10 ó 12 parejas).

• Nunca circular apelotonados, siempre en fi la de a 2 como máximo, y en carreteras sinuosas y sin arcén, intentar ir en fi la de a 1.

• Facilitar las maniobras de adelantamiento, siempre que sea viable o avisar del peligro en caso de carreteras con poca visibilidad, curvas, etc.

• Prestar máxima atención en cruces y rotondas. Cuando vemos un vehículo en un cruce o rotonda y tenemos nosotros la preferencia, asegurarnos que el conductor nos ha visto.

• No entrar al otro carril para arriesgar mejor las curvas en las bajadas, puede tener muy malas consecuencias.

• Mantener y cuidar los aspectos mecánicos de seguridad de nuestra bicicleta, como los neumáticos, los frenos, etc.
