PICTURES Being in pictures is fun and all, but how do you really look in them? Let’s find out if you have bad picture habits. Girls: Girls, some of you love to pose as models for pictures, but some don’t appreciate being in pictures. Well, follow these tips! They are sure to improve your photo appearance. • Do not take a picture with flash when you are in bright light• When using a lot of make-up, use a lot of flash so that your skin looks natural and bare• Do NOT look stupid in a picture - I understand you want to have fun with your friends,

but do not make really stupid faces• Cover up pimples• Try to make your eyes the main part of your picture• Have a nice background• Angle the camera in a unique way• If you are making a picture with the sun, make sure to

capture the sun’s rays so that it blasts out in the picture• Add effects for more emotion• Pose in an awesome way• Wear good clothes• Take appropriate pictures• Make sure to have a good, modern camera• Smiling with teeth is hard with braces - not such a good idea• Pick the right distance so that you can see your face, but also not all your goosebumps!• Smile! ! Do you know how the high-five was invented? Well in  if you donʼt...read on! It was the last day of the regular season, and the Dodgers left fielder, Dusty Baker, had just gone deep off the Astros' J.R. Richard. When Dusty made his 30th home run and that made the Dodgers the first team in history to make 4 sluggers. So they were in a good mood, and then Burke, another player on the Dodgers, thrust his hand enthusiastically over his head to greet his friend at the plate. Dusty Baker, not knowing what to do, smacked it. So this is how the high five started. High Five Day is when everybody gives each other at least one high-five. It was on the third Saturday of April, but now that you know about it, be sure to celebrate it next year! pg 6

! Do dreams come true?From,

Dreamer

Delilah’s Response Of course dreams come true! You just have to keep believing and someday, the outcome of your dream will be even better than the dream! If your dream is the type of dream you have to work for to achieve, work as hard as you can! Don’t take it too seriously, just relax and go with the flow. I hope your dream comes true soon! Delilah

! I am having a party, what should the theme be?From,

Party Lover

Delilah’s Response If you’re having a party, I better be invited...I’m joking! If you want your party to have a theme, look through some magazines to get an idea. For example, if you’re a girl, do beauty themed party just for girls! You can organize it at the nail salon, then maybe go to the mall! It can be lots of fun hanging just with your best buds. If you’re a guy, invite a couple of guys to play basketball and watch a movie, while stuffing your face with popcorn! If you’re having a girl-boy party, I wouldn’t really have a theme, unless it’s universal. I would probably go with a candy theme! You can give out candy, have fun candy necklaces, and you can even make props to put all around your house or backyard. Make jumbo sized cotton candy made out of cotton or have a carpet made with candy lining! If you want to add something special, order a cotton candy machine or a bubble machine would also do as well. I hope you have a great time! Delilah

! Will I ever find true love?

From,Silent Lover

Delilah’s Response I know everyone would probably say,’You’re too young’, but I understand your question. I also wonder if I will ever find the perfect match. For now, if you do find a match, it’s not love, but you’re beginning to develop the feeling of what it really does feel like. I am sure you are a beautiful young girl that is just too good for any guy. Just remember, some guys are a little less mature than girls, but they will grow out of it eventually. In high school, all the guys will come crawling at your knees, but it’s up to you to know which one’s best. If he respects you, if he’s caring, if he has a good personality, and, if he’s good looking, are some of the features you must check in a guy before you decide you like him. I hope you do find the truest love on this planet!

Delilah

! I’m having trouble losing weight. HELP!

From,Anonymous

Delilah’s Response At this age, you must eat a lot! I’m serious! If you don’t, when you are older, you stretch up, so all the ‘fat’ is invisible, you will be abnormally skinny. Of course, if you’re eating WAY too much, the fat will stay until you try to get it off. Exercise and no junk food. I’m not saying you can’t have it at all, but challenge yourself, go a month without it, I guarantee you will drop a few. Don’t try any magazine related weight losses, they make you even fatter! If you really have to, splurge only one time a week, and then eat healthy the rest of the time. Good Luck!

! It’s my dog’s birthday, what do you think I should get him?

From,Troubled Party Planner

Delilah’s Response By the way, I think throwing a party for your dog is totally adorable! You are his owner, so judging on his personality, think of what he would want. If he is crazy, get him a squeaky ball or a bone to calm him down! If he is very calm, get him a cute new bed or even a new, cute, and self-designed collar! Have Fun! Happy Birthday Dog!

Delilah

! I am baking cookies. Should I use milk chocolate or white chocolate?

From,Troubled Baker

Delilah’s Response Well, I don’t really like white chocolate, but it does add a great flavor when it is baked into a cookie. Milk chocolate doesn’t have an interesting taste in a cookie, unless it’s an M&M! So, I would go with little bits of white chocolate with maybe some nuts, if you’re not allergic! Bon Appetit and make sure to give me some....I’m Joking!

! What is the meaning of life?

From,Anonymous

Delilah’s Response Well, it seems to me like you’re deciding whether you like life or not. Life is a beautiful nature! Imagine being out of the world! No more things you enjoy like ice cream! No parents or friends!? Yes, you might not be having the best time in your life because truthfully, it is the hardest part! Middle School and High School! It can be a real pain! And parents too! Just hang in there, and don’t make any bad life risking mistakes. But if you are talking about Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, then it’s 42!

Delilah

! I feel like a third wheel with my friends, how do I make them my friends again?

From,The “Third Wheel”

Delilah’s Response They are still your friends, they might just have a lot going on together. Try to organize a night out, all of you guys together! If it’s still bothering you, find some better, respecting friends. I promise this will get better! It’s happened with me, and I realized, they aren’t my friends, but it can come out differently with you. Everything can be fixed. It could be wise to see our guidance counselor, Miss Deckhut, if it becomes very bad. She will help. Good Luck!

! What should I get for my best friend’s birthday gift?

From,Troubled Party Goer

Delilah’s Response I know how hard it is to decide what to get as a present, but find out some simple stuff about her: favorite color or animal. I know my best friends’ favorite colors, and I get her the perfect gift every time because I know them! It really helps! Well I hope she enjoys what you feel is right to give her. And do try to make something yourself, it’s great to have a friend that is very creative! A gift card is fine, but I prefer giving gifts.

Delilah

! I’m in love with a guy and he’s my best friend. But he is taken. What should I do?

From,Forbidden Love

Delilah’s Response This is probably the best and hardest question I have ever gotten. So, let’s see how much my skills can really help you. If your best friend is taken and you really like him, the key is to wait, but you have to let him know. It’s not a great idea to tell him you like him, though, you can give him signs that he will put together into a puzzle. It’s no doubt, since you’re best friends, he knows you more than his own girlfriend. As I said, waiting is the key. Wait until he notices, puts the pieces together, and he might even mention something about it. DO NOT try to change for him because remember, he knows the real you anyways. Try to hang out with him more, laugh with him. He might be charmed by your sparkling spirit! A normal and natural appearance is what a lot of guys really like, hopefully your best friend is one of them. I wish you the best:)!

DelilahIf your question was not answered, itʼs probably because I either had too many, your hand writing was unreadable, or your question was unreasonable.  I will answer any unanswered letters in the next paper in June. pg 12

The Easter Bunny:! The story of the Easter Rabbit started in the mid-seventeenth century when it was mentioned in a book written by a German man named Georg Franck von Frankenau. This book referred to an Alsace tradition of an Easter Hare bringing Easter eggs. Sometimes, the Easter Rabbit been compared to Father Christmas because they both bring candy and toys to children on their holidays. Today, the Easter Bunny brings candy, chocolate bunnies, and little toys to leave in colored grass filled baskets during the night.

Egg Traditions:! The history of dyeing eggs is unknown, but there are many different Easter egg games celebrated in other countries. Egg dance, a game where you try to dance on an area where eggs have been laid out, was created in Germany, but is also played in the UK. In Egypt, they have a similar tradition of dyeing eggs for their holiday, Sham el-Nessim, which falls after the Eastern Christian Easter. Finally, a game in England called egg tapping is played around Easter. The game is played by holding hard-boiled eggs in your hands and trying to crack the other playersʼ eggs. The winner is the person with the last egg that is not broken and all the losers have to eat all the broken eggs.

Egg Rolls:! An Easter egg hunt is an well-known tradition, but another seems a little strange, an egg roll. No, itʼs not the delicious Chinese dish, itʼs a famous practice celebrated even in the US. During an egg roll, decorated eggs are rolled down a large hill or lawn. The most famous egg roll is held every year on the White House lawn.

April Fools !

• Get a balloon and put it on the back of a your parentsʼ car. Make sure the car isn't already on! Then, get in it and have your parents start it up and it will pop. It will sound like the tire popped.

• Scrape the cream out of Oreo cookies and fill them with white toothpaste!• Call your friend before he / she goes to school and say " I'm so sorry to hear you failed your test! " Act

surprised, they didn't know yet.• If you have little holders for your salt and pepper, switch the salt with sugar and then watch your family's and

friend's faces when they try their food! Just make sure they have something they eat salt with.• Replace the lotion in your victim's lotion bottle with mayonnaise.• Grab a bunch of alarm clocks, set them to alarm at very early times in the morning and hide them all around

different places at your victims room! • Here's another prank you can do at breakfast: open up all the boxes of cereal and pull the bags with the

cereal in them out of the boxes. Put each bag in a wrong cereal box. When your family members go to pour their cereal they will get the wrong kind!  Just don't do it when they are in a bad mood.

• Stuff toilet paper or tissues or whatever into the toe part of someone's shoes so they have trouble getting their feet in!

• Put a spool of thread in your pocket and leave the tail hanging out. Then go up to your friend and say, I've been pulling this and pulling this but it won't come out! Then your friend will try to pull it. It will go on and on and on and on and her hands will be full!

• Superglue a pen cap to the pen and ask people if they can get it off for you! • Take all the remotes in the house and take one battery out of each remote and hide all the batteries in

different places, this one is priceless.• If your milk comes in a cardboard container, add a few drops of food coloring. It's harmless April Fool's joke

but the results are pretty colorful!• If you have a sink with a sprayer, put a rubber band around the handle when nobody is looking. This

automatically keeps the nozzle in spray-mode. Make sure the nozzle is pointing up and outward. The next person to use the sink will get a splash! Too funny!

• This April Fool's practical joke is old but it still works. Superglue some coins to the sidewalk or any spot that has a lot of people walking around. Make sure it's an appropriate place, then watch people break fingernails to get the coins. pg 14

The Township of Bedminster, with 8,165 residents and 27 square miles, is characterized by many desirable qualities. With a diversity of landscapes, park lands, residences and services, Bedminster offers an agreeable quality of life most communities cannot claim. Bedminster, specifically Pluckemin, hosted General Knox while he was starting his first military academy.

From Pottersville to Pluckemin, from Union Grove to Burnt Mills, and from Lamington to Bedminster Village, our town presents a pleasant mix of history, natural beauty, access to amenities, and excellent schools. We're also fortunate to have a well-managed municipal government and low taxes, which has proven to be to most civilians benefits.

The Township of Bedminster in the Somerset Hills of New Jersey was chartered in 1749 by King George II of England. Settled by Dutch, German, Irish and Scottish immigrants, the Township was a rural farming community until 1890, when rail services linked Far Hills and Peapack-Gladstone with the cities.

The sprawling green Township with its farmlands, trout streams and villages with ascending church spires, lured city people to the country. Construction of state and interstate highways has drawn the Township into the metropolitan ring, and residential and corporate growth continues in the eastern section of the community.M The Township is bordered on the east by the North Branch of The Raritan River and its ributaries, Lamington River and Chambers Brook.

There are three villages in the Township, each with its own Post Office: Bedminster, 07921; Pluckemin, 07978; and Pottersville, 07979.

Township residents enthusiastically enjoy the outdoor life in our community, so please drive with care on both the paved unpaved roads. Be alert for deer, horses, cyclists, runners, hounds,

hunters, fisherman, farm vehicles, and the occasional hot air balloon! Everyone is guaranteed to love Bedminster. Whether you like city life or rural life, you will find Bedminster the one place where you can relax under the trees, bike through the most breath-taking nature trails, and enjoy some city life as well. You don’t have to adapt to Bedminster, Bedminster will adapt to you.
