PASA Objectives

• Increase educators’ knowledge statewide of research-based best practices in the education of ELLs;

• Increase educators’ knowledge of statewide resources and effective programs for the education ELLs;

• Increase educators’ ability to deliver linguistically accommodated, scaffolded instruction for ELLs; and

• Increase educators’ ability to incorporated newly revised English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) to design instruction with linguistic accommodations for ELLs.

Funding for PASA

• Education Service Centers (ESCs) in the state of Texas are eligible to apply for and receive up to $40,000 to support registration fees and travel costs for educators from their region and service center personnel to attend the PASA conference.
