PPU is established in 1978; it is located in Hebron - Palestine.

It is the first university nation-wide in the field of technical education.

It delivers degree programs to about 6320 students on the associate,undergraduate and graduate levels.

Its vision is

"Towards a Science Technology and Innovation Global University".

3 Department of Graphics and Multimedia:it offers Graphics and Multimedia.

Research UnitsMaster Programs

The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research (DGSSR)

The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research

The university considers scientific research as one of its main functions, withspecial attention paid to the applied research. To facilitate this function andmanage it, the DGSSR was created. It has three research units and centers:

1 Renewable Energy and Environmental research unit: it wasestablished as a core research basis in energy and environmentalprotection, and it also provides services to the community.

2 Biotechnology Training and research center: this center wasestablished with the mission of transferring the modern techniques ofbiotechnology to the medical and agricultural fields in Palestine inresponse to the growing needs of the society.

3 Power Electronics and Signal Processing Unit: this unit wasestablished with the mission of advancing the industrial electronics,signal processing and electrical energy sectors.




































Master Programs

This deanship also offers the following master-degree programs:

1 Mathematics.

2 Mechatronics.

3 Informatics.

4 Biotechnology (this is a joint program with Bethlehem University)

Confirming the deep believe of the PPU to serve the society, the university iscommitted to societal participation and is classified as "A university thatserves a community", through the following departments and centers:

Department of Continuing Education: This department offerslong-learning training courses to the local community. It also offerscertified one-year diploma in interdisciplinary vocational and technicalprograms.

Friends of Fawzi Kawash IT Center of Excellence: This is arecognized center of excellence in leveraging information technology andcapacity building to stimulate the exchange and creation of knowledge.Units operating in the IT Center include: training and human resourcesdevelopment unit, IT Business Incubation and IT Development Unit,Systems Development and Programming Unit, and the E-learning unit.





















Language Center: Language Center provides high-quality intensiveEnglish language instruction to all PPU students, assists them withlanguage and cultural adjustments. Other languages like Hebrew,French, Spanish and others are within the scope of interest of thelanguage center.

Department of Services, Technical Consultations, andSpecifications: The goal of the department is to bring the best value tothe local community and meets its requirements in various technicalsupport and consultation fields.

Vehicles Testing Center: The Center has a long history of vehicletesting and evaluation. Our continuously evolving tests can beinexpensively configured nation-wide to meet the customer’s specifictesting and vehicle needs. Complete instrumentation and portable dataacquisition make vehicle testing and analysis efficient and accurate, andour extensive support facilities can accommodate any test group.



















Industrial Synergy Center: This center was established in 2007 tobridge the gap between the Engineering teaching and the needs of thelocal industry.

Marble and Stone Center: This was established in the year 2009.Being the first of its kind in the Middle East, the center which is equippedwith modern machines and equipment, is meant to provide educationand vocational and technical training in the industry of stone and marble.And is based on a unique partnership brought together the academicsector (Palestine Polytechnic University), the public sector (Ministry ofthe Palestinian national economy) and the private sector (Union of stoneand marble).

Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development: The missionof this center is to promote and strengthen the culture ofentrepreneurship, innovation and creativity for PPU’s students andgraduates. In addition to that the center works to support and embracepilot projects and help them establish new companies.
