When we first sat down to work on the branding and marketing position for Outback Tea & Coffee Company, OT&CC’s CEO, Jasmin Herro, was very clear that the brand needed to encapsulate more than just premium tea and coffee products.

Her vision was to show her connection to country and culture while capturing the beauty of the Australian Outback. As an artist, Jasmin guided the design to offer the viewer a window to the rich tapestry of Indigenous life from coast to coast and beyond the deep red dessert. As such, the mark took on a spirit of its own making this a truly special project.

As with awakening to the hope of a new day alongside a great cup of tea or coffee, the mark depicts the new sun rising over the Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) as life springs and flourishes in the forward landscape. Beneath the rising sun the mark is supported by a joining of the snake and boomerang just as the culture of Australia is supported by the wildlife and Indigenous symbolism that makes the country so unique.

It is our desire as you take that first sip of an OT&CC tea or coffee that you take a moment to enjoy the hope of the new day and are momentarily transported into the stunning reality that is the Outback.
