Thank you for your interest in the PGY1 pharmacy residency located at Community Health Network! Our program was initiated in 2002 and has received the full accreditation status with each ASHP survey. We currently offer 4 PGY1 positions along with PGY2 residencies in Pharmacotherapy, Ambulatory Care, and Psychiatry. We offer a variety of 4-week PGY1 rotations with a highly flexible schedule tailored to the PGY1 resident’s interests and career goals while still providing a broad clinical foundation. Community Hospital East has been serving the east side of Indianapolis for over 60years. A brand-new hospital opened in 2019 which includes 120 inpatient beds, anexpanded 75-bed emergency department, and new inpatient adult psychiatric unit.

Community Hospital North campus consists of a 330-bed inpatient hospital as well as a 120-bed inpatient behavioral health pavilion. Services include a 24-bed adult ICU unit, 20-bed pediatric unit, 42-bed level III NICU, as well as an inpatient oncology unit. CHN is also home to a 60-bed maternity unit, which holds the record for most babies delivered in Indiana six years in a row.

Community Hospital South is a 175-bed hospital serving the south side of Indianapolis and surrounding counties. Recently expanded surgery suites include state of the art hybrid operating rooms offering our patients the best surgical care. The hospital provides a variety of services from obstetrics and orthopedics to accreditation in care of stroke and chest pain patients.

Community Heart and Vascular Hospital has been serving the cardiovascular needs of the network since 2003. Services include cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure, and vascular surgery. The building has undergone several renovations, including a new 24-bed CVICU.

How to Apply

➢Community Health Network PGY1 Pharmacy Program participates in the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS).

➢Interested candidates must utilize this service to submit all application materials, including:

➢ Letter of intent➢ Curriculum vitae➢ Three letters of recommendation (Please utilize PhORCAS form with emphasis on the narrative sections,

specifically areas of strength and improvement. A formal letter is not needed.)➢ Academic Transcript

➢Candidates who match with the program will also be required to complete an online application for employment with Community Health Network and have a valid Indianapharmacist license within 90 days of residency start date.
