The biggest concern in my life is:– To find a good job.

More than 30% of the answers in the filled in forms pointed that out (in various ways of putting it; how to find a good job, how not to loose a job, where to find a job, etc)

Objectives of this working group:

Preparation of the strategy in the framework of the future cooperation in the Network. What is important to develop? To focus on? To not include? How, and in what areas, can we cooperate? How can this help you on a daily basis?

Contribute to the Wiesbaden Resolution. Each working group should write ONE sentence to the Wiesbaden Resolution concerning WHAT should be done and HOW (within the topic of the workshop).

Share best practice and experience from your regions in discussion groups.

A word from the European Union...2009: The European Year of Creativity and InnovationHow to provide an environment favourable to innovation, flexibility and adaptatability in a rapidly changing world? How to raise awareness among youth that creativity, knowledge and flexibility are crucial in a time of rapid technological changes and global integration? Is it necessary to promote closer links between art, business and schools (as suggested by the European Parliament)?

Media Literacy/knowledgeHow to increase awareness of the many forms of media messages encountered in young people’s everyday lives ? How to empower our generation the critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to make us even more judicious consumers and producers of information? How to use the knowledge in this network?

Intercultural CompetencesHow to adjust to the new requirements that needs to be fulfilled by a young person willing to get a job in modern Europe? How can these be an access when we network and cooperate? Is it an important topic to work on?

- The promotion of access to and the role of culture, arts, music and sport in shaping youth's identities.

- The promotion, development and recognition of intercultural competences of youth workers and youth leaders by facilitating their mobility and educational traininng opportunities.

- The promotion of media and audiovisual content that is culturally rich, diverse, informative for all individuals by encouraging co-productions at European, national and regional levels.

How it’s done! These discussions will be in smaller groups, mainly. Each group should select one rapporteur who takes notes and “manage” the discussions. The rapporteur will then get 5 minutes to present the discussions when the whole working group gathers again.

In the smaller groups your task is to……Share best practice and experience from your regions. Maybe some of them are useful when thinking about possible cooperation projects, for example?

…Work on the Preparation of the strategy in the framework of the future cooperation in the Youth Regional Network. What is important to develop? To focus on? To not include? How, and in what areas, can we cooperate? How can this help you on a daily basis? Find and agree on at least five concrete solutions and/or strategies. Write them down + present them to the rest of Working Group 2 when we gather again.

…Work out one suggestion for this groups contribution to the Wiesbaden Resolution.

…Suggestions for the future of the network!

Together in the whole group we will… …Share the thoughts from the smaller groups (approx 5 minutes)

…Contribute to the Wiesbaden Resolution by writing ONE sentence to the Wiesbaden Resolution concerning WHAT should be done and HOW (within the topic of the workshop)

…Select one rapporteur who will make a 10 minutes speech-rapport of the results of the working group. The speech will take place during the morning plenary session tomorrow.

- What about young people under the age of 18?

- Is it a must to have a president or do in what way would you like it to be organized?

- Challenges: Demographical issue, global warming, how can youth be involved?

- What is the role of my home region in a European context?

- How can all of us make a difference?

- Make young people aware that: change is possible. But how?

Remember for the rest of the group discussions! Important!

FOCUS ON- Future of the network?- How to cooperate? On what?- Strategy!- Write down one sentence for the resolution with our topic as a ground.- Fill the blank white paper with suggestions, ideas, strategies etc for the network. This is your chance to affect on the future of the network.…All of this in the context of the network!
