PhysiotherapyWe provide first class physiotherapy and integrated rehabilitation services for patients including sports men and women. Our Physiotherapy Department offers treatment and specialist services for people of all ages. Our Physiotherapists treat physical problems caused by illness, accident, work related problems or ageing, including back, neck and shoulder pain, upper and lower limb conditions, and sports injuries.

All the Physiotherapists at Claremont are chartered and highly experienced. They tailor-make treatment plans for each individual patient as appropriate for their condition. The team also work closely with other specialists in the hospital including orthopaedic consultants, podiatrists and sports physicians.

Our physiotherapists are focussed on helping you in your post-operative rehabilitation and gaining optimum results following your surgery.

At Claremont we also offer Shockwave Therapy / Radial Pulse Wave Therapy, a non-invasive treatment which is helpful in providing pain relief for patients suffering from common painful orthopaedic conditions or sports injuries.

The treatment works by passing acoustic shockwaves through the skin to the painful area. The shockwaves break down injured tissue and calcifications as well as initiating increased blood circulation to the area which in turn accelerates the body’s own healing processes.

Diagnostic ImagingOur well-equipped onsite Imaging Department is on hand to provide any rapid x-rays and scans that may be required.

Alongside our BUPA approved MRI unit and our state-of-the-art multi-slice CT Scanner we offer digital x-rays and Consultant-lead ultrasounds, all producing high quality imaging with short wait times in comfortable surroundings.

The imaging service is supported by a friendly and welcoming highly qualified team of radiographers whose priority it is to put our patients at ease.

The department has its own reception and waiting area located a short distance from the scanning rooms, which themselves house private changing areas for the patients. We seek to offer the shortest wait for appointment times wherever possible and your scan images will be reported directly by specialists in our Radiology team before being returned to your consultant.
