• Why: • to help partners with their own demoing, training and PoCs  

• What: • Hosted BIC2G solution through the Amazon Cloud.• Windows Server environment image with a full deployment of

both the Business Intelligence 11g and EPM products. • Essentially the same image that Oracle’s own presales team is

using.  • How:

• The BIC2G Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is a private image that is not publically available

• Access to this must be granted by Oracle to individual partners with Amazon EC2 accounts.

• AMI: Amazon Machine Image, template of a fully configured VM

• AWS Console: Web UI to manage all the services

• EBS: Permanent Volume Storage (root volume)

• Launch an Instance: create a working copy of an AMI and assign an EBS volume

• Terminate an Instance: delete the working copy

• What you do: • See the private BIC2G AMI • Launch an Instance of the AMI:

now you have your own copy with your own storage

• Choose the size that fits you• Start and stop the instance when you want• Access your instance from RDP (Remote Windows Desktop) to

manage services and develop with clients• You can move data in and out of the storage

• Access your Instance through the Browser for everything else

What you will pay

• Instance usage per hour • Time when instance is up• Resource usage

• Storage usage per hour• If the istance is started you

pay for the CPU time and the storage usage (data traffic and allocation)

• If the instance is stopped you still pay for the storage allocation• If the instance is terminated you won’t pay• Example:

• large instance (4CPU 2 cores 7.5 GB RAM)• $ 0,48 per hr
