directly• 19 Ministries of Education from 18 countries have confirmed their participation and
appointed a STEM representative as of 03/11/2017
Objectives: • Platform of discussion and exchange for Ministries of Education regarding their
STEM education policies. • Lay the foundations for medium and long-term strategies and activities between
Ministries of Education and European Schoolnet in the field of STEM education, following an agenda that addresses the ministries priorities and main interests.

The main priorities for the MoE STEM WG resulting from the 1st meeting (Mar 2016), and reconfirmed in the following meetings (Nov 2016 and Oct 2017):1. The importance of supporting primary schools with the teaching of STEM.
2. The limited information on STEM careers.
3. Results from projects presented by teachers and teacher collaboration as a way of sharing results with policy makers and among themselves.
4. Getting leading schools from different countries to work together and share expertise.
5. Supporting exchanges in the working group via regular on line discussions, webinars, etc.
6. Scientix should support the federation or cohesion (dissemination) of national initiatives.
7. Ways to make research results more accessible to teachers.
8. How to mainstream innovative practices, validation and piloting from different initiatives.

Action 2.2 (Mar16): Organize a STEM careers MOOC at the EUN Academy for teachers (online course). (Done: 03 Apr – 06 Jun 2017)
1260 participants started following at least one course module
600 participants passed the MOOC and received the course certification
Action 2.3 (Nov16): 2nd MOOC for career advisers + Heads of Schools.
1002 participants registered to the course
