What is a collaborative project?

• A project that– Uses the Internet– Connects with another area of the globe– Promotes working with someone else to

produce a product– Addresses academic GLE’s and

technology standards

Why are collaborative projects important?

• Extends learning beyond the classroom• Develops critical thinking skills• Develops cultural and global awareness• Promotes real life/real time learning• Allows students to broaden their world

This year's project invited classrooms to have each student stack Oreo®

cookies as high as he or she can and then average all their individual

results to achieve a final Class result.
