PROBLEMS WORTH SOLVING

There is no geo-localized social community specific for travellers and hotel guests, but the market is craving for it

B2B companies are still focusing on B2B services (phone apps & online concierge) that do not target the need of the hotel guests to have a dedicated social community

HOW DOES IT WORK• The hotel guest download the app (if he hasn’t already in another hotel), and

check in by entering his travel reason

• He can now chat with other users or check the info about any hotel in the world, including the travel reasons of their guests

• He can interact with the hotel reception through a live concierge system

• Hotels can see the travel reasons of the users and their activity in the chat, and decide if to interact with the users, send communications via push notification, or upload specifically targeted coupons to sell rooms or any kind of service, from the minibar to massages, from room upgrades to city tours

1. COUPONS

• Check all the local and temporary coupons

• Filter them by proximity, category, or affinity with your profile (travel reason)

• See who are the other travellers around you and their travel reasons

• Filter the users by proximity, travel reason, sex, age etc…

• Send them personal or group messages to ask questions, suggestions, or just for a chat

3. HOTEL PROMO-PAGE• Check in to allow push notifications

from the hotel and to allow other people to know your location

• Check restaurant opening time, breakfast, check in and check out, etc…

• See who else is checked in in the hotel and their travel reasons

• One-click reservation for standard services like express check out, taxi, room service and turn-down service

BUSINESS MODEL• FREEMIUM: the app will be free for hotels and

users. Hotels will pay us a commission (10-15%) on sold coupons

• PREMIUM MEMBERSHIPS: only premium hotels will be able to send push notifications to their users and to activate the one-click reservation system

GROWTH STRATEGY• Work on small locations until saturation (on example, a single city, Milan)

then move to bigger markets only when ready. Do NOT dilute potential marketing by accepting clients that are not in the same market.

• Use hotels as premium distribution partners (hotel will promote our app by contract on their website, upon guests’ check in, on the booking-confirmation emails and pre-stay emails)

• Use territorial marketing techniques to aggressively come to market saturation: workshops with local hotels, day by day activity with the partner hotels, community building on social networks, long-tail SEO promotion for local events and attractions, targeted Facebook Marketing, etc…

BUSINESS PLAN - PRECONDITIONS

• Sample hotel: 80 rooms, 70% average occupancy. Average No. of guests per room: 1,5 people.

• % of users on total guests: 10% • % of users buying at least 1 coupon: 20% • Average coupons value: 50 Eur

BUSINESS PLAN - PROJECTIONS

• For each hotel we will have 260 new users per month, who will buy around 52 coupons per month. (260 Eur)

• We think that at least 10% of the hotels will choose the premium membership for 1,5 Eur a month for each room

• This calculations should lead us to a total revenue, after 4 years, of 4,5 M

STATUS• We are winners of the 2015 Invitalia (Smart&Start) competition. (But we refused

• We are looking to raise money to proceed with the development of the app:

• 5.000K for UX/UI analysis, design and prototype

• 30.000K for the first MVP

• 20.000K for completing the Beta version

• 10.000K for market launch

• Equity in exchange: 30% (negotiable depending on extra services like mentorship)
