OMAHA GOLF COURSE

If you fancy a round, Omaha offers an 18 hole, links style golf course, alongside the Omaha Estuary.

SCULPTUREUM

Three sculpture filled gardens, six galleries a vineyard event space and Rothko restaurant and bar. The Scultureum is 10 years in the making with over 100 sculptures to amuse inspire.

OMAHA BEACH

White sands, sun and surf, Omaha Beach is great place to learn to surf, paddleboad, walk, swim or relax.

MATAKANA BICYCLE HIRE

If you want the experience, but don’t have the means to get your own bike there, hire a bike so you can set off on adventure.

MATAKANA CYCLE TRAIL

The Matakana Cycle Trail provices fantastic views through farmland, bush and quiet communities. There are many points of interest including cafés, wineries and roadside stalls offering fresh produce. Eight ceramic sculptural markers feature stylised maps of the area’s topography and a place to rest and contemplate the landscape.

Catch a film at the Matakana Cinema, lunch at the Rusty Pelican or gather together provisions for a picnic from the Matakana Markets every Saturday 8am to 1pm.

The Matakana Cycle Trail Trust’s trail takes you from Matakana to Omaha and Point Wells. A great cultural adventure for the discerning confident cyclist. This ride includes gravel sections and many opportunities to top up the cellar. With so much to do, you could make a weekend of it.
