Hello Trojans,

I would like to start this message with a big thank you to all of

you! I'm proud of so many of you for working hard in school, serving

your community, and in enjoying life! With addition with being proud

I'm also honor to be able to serve all of you for the past five months! It

saddens me that we are half way in the service term but it makes me

smile that I'm getting to see new faces in our events. This shows that

our recruitment efforts are working!

Everyone keep up the great work!

Your Lieutenant Governor,

Alex Tellez

Club Rush

The Key Club Booth at Club Rush was a hit! We

passed out flyers, played some rad music, and

introduced many freshman and other classmates

to Key Club. Our Division Team and officers got to

explain to people who we were and what we do

as the largest community service program for

high school students. We also showed off some of

the awards we earned the past year as well as all

the cool events we take part in. We were able to

get over one hundred people interested in

joining and getting to know more about what we

do. Let’s go Trojans!

Fresno Greek Festival

On August 23th, members from Division 5 South volunteered at the Fresno Greek Festival. The festival

was lively, fun, and quite diligent! Everyone who volunteered with us had lots of fun! People worked

various shifts ranging from serving food, cooking food, and taking part in the recycle crew. Members

Sarina Sylavong, Madison Vaughn, Whitney Markwardt, Kylee Feist, and I helped serve food in the

Mega Booth where people were given trays and picked out any Greek dish they wanted to eat. Eric

Reynoso and Sean Ezenwugo assisted the cooking crew by making the delicious cheese fries that

were also served in the Mega Booth. Sidney E., Blain Haskin, Nike Keovilay, and Brandy E. volunteered

to be part of the recycle crew where they got to pick up all the recyclables that were all over the

festival. Alex Tellez and Brittany Madrigal also helped in other booths! After all of our shifts were over,

everyone got to try the Greek foods made at the festival. All of which were mouthwatering. The Fresno

Greek Festival was a blast and Division 5 South cannot wait for next year to help out again!

Regional Training Conference

RTC was really fun! I met some cool people and it was great to meet

Jacqueline Tsang. I attended the Kiwanis Family workshop as well as the

Service Project workshop, and presented for the Time Management

workshop. The Kiwanis Family workshop was the most informative

explaining all the branches of Kiwanis and what they do. The Service

Project workshop was the most fun. It was a hands-on workshop; we made

huge thank you posters for the Marine Corps! What a productive event! I

encourage you all to attend next year if you decide to be part of our Key

Club family once more. Go Trojans!
