Observation and Inference

Inference : is what you already think you know.

Inference: a. The act or process of deriving logical conclusions from premises known or assumed to be true.

b. The act of reasoning from factual knowledge or evidence.

Assumption:The act of taking for granted: assumption of a false theory.

Something taken for granted or accepted as true without proof; a supposition: a valid assumption.

 Presumption; arrogance.

Observation

Senses Sight – based on color perception, speed, shadow, light

and previous knowledge

Smell – based on what odor molecule is captured by your cilia in your nose and how your memory reacts to the neurons.

Hearing – vibrations picked up by the eardrum are passed on to the brain, which sorts based on your prior knowledge.

Touch – the nerves near your skins surface relate temperature, pressure and pain to you brain, which then sorts by previous knowledge.

Taste – Our tastebuds detect emotion like sweet, sour, bitter, salty and compare to our current smell reactions, to combine an EMOTION that is based on our own bias and experience.

3. At start: write four words that describe the object.

4. Record the station Number.

5. At direction move to next station.
