Mina Dawod The driving laws in New York are a lot different from the New jersey laws in which I abide by. For starters one law that frustrates many sixteen and seventeen year olds in New York is that you must be accompanied by an adult over 21 in the passenger seat when you have your learners permit and when you have your probationary license. In new jersey when you have your probationary license you can drive alone, although in New York you must be accompanied by someone until you are eighteen. Another law that frustrates many New Jersey drivers is that in New York you can't turn right on red lights. In new Jersey it is allowed unless posted but it is completely illegal in New York. Another frustrating topic for New Jersey is that the period of time that a light is yellow is much shorter in New York than in New Jersey. This can be very bad because of the red light cameras in New York. If you are a New Jersey driver and come upon a New York yellow light you may speed up to try and pass so that you don't have to wait for the green light again. But many drivers are unaware that the light turns red faster in New York

The driving laws in New York are a lot different from the

New jersey laws in which I abide by. For starters one law that

frustrates many sixteen and seventeen year olds in New York is

that you must be accompanied by an adult over 21 in the passenger

seat when you have your learners permit and when you have your

probationary license. In new jersey when you have your

probationary license you can drive alone, although in New York

you must be accompanied by someone until you are eighteen.

Another law that frustrates many New Jersey drivers is that in

New York you can't turn right on red lights. In new Jersey it is

allowed unless posted but it is completely illegal in New York.

Another frustrating topic for New Jersey is that the period

of time that a light is yellow is much shorter in New York than

in New Jersey. This can be very bad because of the red light

cameras in New York. If you are a New Jersey driver and come upon

a New York yellow light you may speed up to try and pass so that

you don't have to wait for the green light again. But many

drivers are unaware that the light turns red faster in New York

and are greeted with a ticket in the mail. Those are two big

differences in the driving laws from New Jersey to New York.
