DXP Enterprises acquires Alaskan pump distributor

DXP Enterprises Inc has bought Alaska Pump & Supply Inc,

a distributor of pump products, process equipment and services for commercial, municipal and industrial applications within Alaska, USA.

Founded in 1978, Alaska Pump serves customers in the oil & gas, petrochemical, municipal, power generation, marine and industrial markets. The company is based in Anchorage, Alaska, and employs 26 people. Alaska Pump had sales of US$16.1 million for the year ended 31 May 2013, and adjusted EBITDA of US$2.4 million.

DXP Enterprises CEO David Little said: “With Alaska Pump, we continue to build on our strategy of providing a breadth of technical products and services on the regional and local level. Alaska Pump will expand DXP’s Rotating Equipment division within a new market for DXP and allow us to continue to serve our customers’ evolving needs.”

Kent Yee, DXP Enterprises’ senior vice president corporate development, added: “Alaska Pump complements DXP’s end markets and provides entry into a geographic region we have not historically served. Alaska Pump’s local market expertise combined with DXP’s size and scale will help us provide better customer solutions. New pump performance service from Sulzer Pumps

Sulzer Pumps has launched a new Pump Performance Expert service

for customers in the pulp and paper industry to reduce their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

The new global service focuses on medium consistency applications, agitation and mixing applications, tower channelling and discharge. Through the service, customers

NOV Mono opens office to serve UK oil and gas industry

Progressing cavity pump manufacturer NOV Mono has set

up a new oil and gas office in the UK.Based in Southampton, the NOV Mono

Oil & Gas Solutions team will provide dedicated industry expertise and support for customers in many different areas of the oil and gas sector.

Xylem merges Dutch and Belgian businesses

Xylem Lowara Nederland BV’s Dutch and Belgian activities have

been merged with Xylem Water Solutions’ operations in Dordrecht, the Netherlands and in Zaventem, Belgium respectively.
