tubes.
We can thank Thomas Edison for this invention
in 1883.
In 1868, Christopher Sholes invented the 1st typewriter and
QWERTY keyboard we still use today.
Chester Carlson invented the xerographic process that is
the basis for our laser printers today.
Here he is in 1938 with the first Xerox machine!
The transistor paved the way for computers
to be smaller and more complex.
Invented in 1947, by a team of physicists for
Bell Labs, the transistor replaced the
vacuum tube.
Invented the 1st Compact Disc in 1965
The DRAM chip was invented by Robert Dennard in 1968.
It is the main memory component in your computer.
In 1971, Nolan Bushnell developed the Atari along with
Ted Dabney.
The first Atari game Pong was released in
1972. He is also the founding
father of Chuck E. Cheese!
"Remember," Bushnell says,
"I didn't invent the video game. I just
commercialized them."
On April Fool’s Day in 1976, these two young STEVEs, released their 1st Apple computer.
