Dear Parents,

This information on NCA UNIFORMS pertains to the 2017-2018 school year. For your convenience, we have compiled information that we trust will be helpful as you shop for uniforms. We have made a few changes to the Elementary and Middle School uniforms. This document reflects the current poli-cies.

Middle School Grades 6th-8

th now have the option to wear navy blue polo shirts on Wednesday for

chapel day.

This is the last year that green chapel cardigan/vest will be an option to wear.

Forest Green and Gray P.E. T-shirts and Sweatshirts are not permitted. (these colors were phased out a few years ago)

Only NCA approved sweatshirts, fleece vests/jackets with logos, and cardigan/sweaters may be worn to school. Coats may be worn for warmth outside for recess but NON-NCA sweatshirts will no longer be permitted.

The attached uniform information sheets have been designed to help you navigate our uniform policies, vendors and specifics to our uniform.

DRESS CODE SPECIFICS: This detailed information outlines approved NCA uniform standards for Elementary and Middle School boys and girls.

VENDOR SELECTIONS: NCA works with three vendors. This document provides information on where to purchase NCA approved uniforms and how to order them.

Read through this information very carefully before shopping and/or ordering uniforms for the school year. (Keep in mind if you purchase items at Tommy Hilfiger Uniforms, Creative Logo Solutions or Dennis Uni-form, you must order ONLY NCA approved uniforms .

PE Uniforms and Spirit Wear:

All official NCA (with NCA* logo) P.E. T-shirts and Sweatshirts must be ordered from Creative Logo Solutions.

Fleece zipper down vests/jackets in red or navy blue may be purchased from Creative Logo Solutions, Tommy Hilfiger or Dennis Uniforms and may be worn on non-chapel days in the classroom.

*NCA Logo refers to the compass logo, NCA initials or Gator Athletics Screen printing.

Friday of each month.

The 4th Friday will be Walk-a-thon T-shirt day (may only wear the 2017 WAT t-shirt).

This is the minimum length allowed. Garments may be longer if desired. Middle school girls can only wear the Tom-my Hilfiger or Dennis specific skirt specified by NCA. No other skirts will be allowed this year. All uniforms and non-uniform (PE and free dress included) must comply with length requirements.

Most of our uniform items must be purchased through our three approved vendors. We highly recom-mend using only our vendors for all uniform items. If you choose to shop from one of the following stores we only recommend purchasing pants and/or polo shirts. If you choose to purchase pants or shirts out-side of our vendors please make sure these items comply with our dress code. Suggested Stores for pants and polo shirts: Old Navy, Target, Kohl’s, Sears, Children’s Place and JC Penney’s

Creative Logo Solutions frequently sells PE uniforms in our lobby before school or after school. Dates and times will be posted on our website.

NCA has found vendors that have quality products for good prices. Thus, price adjustments and increases are not made by NCA.

NCA has the right to amend the uniform code at any time with or without notice. NCA has the right to de-termine whether or not a clothing item(s) meets our code or the mission of our school.

We strongly recommend that you label your children’s clothing. Unlabeled items are taken to a local charity at the end of every month. Creative Logo Solutions offers monogramming for NCA sweatshirts which is recommended. Dennis Uniforms sells labels that are ideal for labeling all your children’s outer clothing items, backpacks, water bottles and lunch boxes. You may also use a sharpie to write clearly on the inside of all clothing items.

Every student is given a two week grace period at the beginning of each school year. There are no consequences if a child is out of dress code for the first two weeks of school. Please refer to the Family Handbook or your child’s homeroom handbook for consequences for being out of dress code after the grace period is over.
