Non-Verbal Reasoning Practice Test 2 Many employers use psychometric testing in their recruitment process, with a non-verbal reasoning test often being included. The style of the following test is based on the Inductive Reasoning and Diagrammatic Reasoning tests available on the Assessmentday website www.assessmentday.co.uk. In order to ensure that a variety of typical question contexts were included, the following sources were also accessed: - Practice Aptitude Tests: www.practiceaptitudetests.com/diagrammatic-reasoning-tests/ - Job Test Prep: www.jobtestprep.co.uk - Practice Reasoning: www.practicereasoningtests.com - Graduates First: www.graduatesfirst.com - Forum sites for candidate comments concerning this style of test. This test comprises 28 questions and you have 25 minutes to complete it. This test includes four styles of question: - Completing a sequence: you are given a sequence of images which follows a logical pattern. You have to identify which option completes the given sequence. - Identifying the ‘odd one out’: you are given a set of images for which all but one have a common feature. You have to identify the image which is the ‘odd one out’. - Identifying common features: you are given two sets of images (Set A and Set B). Each set has a unique common feature. You are given a further image and have to decide which of the two sets, if either, it belongs to. - Applying operations: a given operation (or operations) is applied to an input figure to produce an output figure. You have to identify which option completes the given system. © Frances Whalley, University of Hertfordshire Reviewer: Dr Kinga Zaczek, Royal Holloway, University of London www.mathcentre.ac.uk All mccp resources are released under a Creative Commons licence www.sigma-network.ac.uk Non-Verbal Reasoning Test 2
