Nikkiso in talks to buy Geveke
Japan’s Nikkiso Co Ltd is in negotiations with the shareholders
of Geveke BV to acquire 100% of the Dutch pump and compressor company.

Nikkiso, together with its German subsidiary Lewa, is developing its industrial pump business globally, with an emphasis on the growing oil & gas market. Adding Geveke to the group will enable Nikkiso to supply advanced solutions by combining Nikkiso’s pump technology with Geveke’s packaging technology. Flowserve is entering into a 10-year lease and investing more than US$1.5 million in renovations, infrastructure improvements and new equipment. The relocation is set to create 124 jobs over the next three years.
Flowserve received a US$310 000 Pennsylvania First Program grant funding offer from the Department of Community and Economic Development to assist with the company’s relocation efforts.
The relocation project was coordinated by the Pennsylvania Governor’s Action Team (GAT), a group of economic development professionals who work directly with businesses that are considering locating or expanding in Pennsylvania.
