BRIEF

Nichola Taylorson is a third year Printed Textile designer at Leeds College of Art. Produce an identity and personal branding range that can be used to target specialist design companies both in the U.K and New York.

The design must suit Nichola as a traditional but contemporary surface pattern designer.

CONCEPT

Keep it simple. The design was to be the main element of the brief and all the type was kept simple and clean to allow Nichola’s design to be the true showcase.

AUDIENCE

Targeted design companies and industry professionals alongside potential clients.

Nichola works for designing for interiors and her target market is female aged 25+

RESOLUTION

A machine stitched, branded promotional bundle that contains a stationary set alongside postcards and business card. Separate to the pack is a Press release that can be sent alongside the pack or individually.

Pack

A promotional bundle that contains a range of items that are tailored around showcasing Nichola Taylorson’s design.

Postcards & Poster

A set of postcards with an interchangeable design. The poster is at A6 scale that folds out to A2. They act as further publicity of Nichola and her work. They also act as collectables and momentoes for reciewers of the pack.

Stationary

Branded CV, business cards and letterhead. The stationary is simple and subtle with Rosemary’s contactdetails running down the keft habd side of the page.

Press Release

The press release highlights Nichola as a designer and contains samples of her work. It functions both with the pack and by itself so it can be sent of to design companies either individually or with the pack.

ONLINE PRESENCE

To further the range I designed a website for Nichola Her website is very simple similar to her pack to allow for her work to shine through.

I also mocked up Nichola’s work on the popular printed textile website, ‘texprint’. Texprint showcases emerging graduates within the field and offers opportunity for graduate placements.
