The aim of the new atlas, being developed by the NHS’s QIPP * Right Care programme, is to highlight the "extent of variation" which should help to identify unwarranted health investment and outcomes. He said that "knowing programme budget information was vital" allowing for debate on the allocation of resources to a particular area. He claims that the atlas will help to show how much is spent on disease with more accuracy than to the nearest £100 million. * Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention Wise J.
