NEWS BRIEFS AAE member is president of New York dental society AAE member and diplomate Dr. Theodore Lerner of Brooklyn recently assumed the office of president of the Dental Society of the State of New York. A 1957 graduate of the Univer- sity of Pennsylvania Dental School, Dr. Lerner is a private practitioner of en- dodontics in Brooklyn. Dr. Lerner, a member of many dental organizations, is a fellow of both the International and American Colleges of Dentists. He currently is assistant sec- retary-treasurer of the New State As- sociation of Endodontists and serves Dr. Chivian hands Dr. Lerner a special plaque during his induction as president of the Dental Society of the State of New York. as an ADA House delegate. Dr. Lerner, who has served in every office of the Second District Dental Society, has also chaired several committees for the Greater New York Dental Meeting. Before establishing a private prac- tice, Dr. Lerner was an attending staff member at Peninsula Hospital Center and at Menorah Home and Hospital and served as chief of the endodontics department at Maimonides Hospital. During his induction to the presi- dency at the Dental Society of New York's Board of Governors meeting in December, AAE President Noah Chi- vian presented Dr. Lerner with a spe- cial plaque on behalf of the Associa- tion.
