We are looking forward to next week when we take the time to celebrate all of our wonderful volunteers with our Volunteer Appreciation Dessert. Our teachers and staff are excited to thank our parents and volunteers who make our school an amazing place to learn and teach. Please join us on Thursday, May 26 at 2:15 pm for some delicious desserts.

Our Hoot ’n’ Scoot was amazing last week! The sun was out and the runners were ready to participate in this fun fitness activity. Thank you to Suzanne Tye and her team for the Forest Flyers training in which students were involved. Thank you to Christy Briggs, Michelle Doel and their team for all of the organization that went into preparing and holding this big event.

Education Foundation Count Me In Campaign Update A big thank you for making a difference! Trillium Creek Primary is now at 51% of our target goal, up from 37% last week. We now have 38 donors from Trillium Creek supporting our Count Me In Campaign. We have just only 3 more weeks to go on our school’s Education Foundation goal of raising $10,000. More importantly, we hope to have more donors from our school supporting this worthy fundraiser. Your donations support the overall goal of adding three new teachers to our district in the coming school year. If you have not yet done so, please consider making a donation by going to the website Any amount counts as we work toward our goal! Let’s work together to increase the number of donors from Trillium Creek Primary! Additionally, don't miss a chance to support our local schools through the West Linn-Wilsonville Education Foundation by joining in the fun and fitness at the Tonkin "For the Love of Schools" Run on Sunday, June 5th. The run is a fun family friendly event that truly complements the Education Foundation Count Me In campaign that by then will be in its final week. You can find more information at the websites for these opportunities. Count Me In!" information is available at http://www.wlwvfoundation.org/. "For the Love of Schools" information can be found at http://www.tonkinchallenge.org/ Thank you! Charlotte Morris, Principal

Hoot ‘n’ Scoot Was A Scorching Success! What an amazing day we had last Friday at the Hoot ‘n’ Scoot Fun Run! A bit warm, but still awesome! Class after class, our students and staff made their way around the Forest Loop and Playground course, rewarded for their efforts with a Hoot ‘n’ Scoot medal, water bottle and well-earned popsicle. Our students and sponsors also stepped up for our school raising over $21,000! Their efforts will be rewarded as a portion of the fitness/play equipment is being installed around the Forest Loop this week! Thank you so much to all of our sponsors, volunteers and PTA for helping to make this event possible. A special thank you to Tim Tawa, Owliver, Drew Carney and Double Dog Dare U Events for their incredible efforts to make this a special and memorable day – we heard from many students that it was their favorite day of the year!

THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS

In the month of April alone, nearly 900 hours of volunteer

support were generously shared with the staff and students of

Trillium. Across the school year, over 6,500 hours have been

logged into our volunteer registration system. Volunteers provide

support in a great variety of ways: classroom help, reading with

students, preparing and hosting tastings from our school garden,

accompanying classes for work in our school garden and around

our grounds, Forest Flyers, library, art literacy, field trips, book

fair, special events such as Backyard BBQ, Harvest Happenings,

Pizza Bingo, and 5th grade promotion and much more.

Be watching for emails from Trillium Creek PTA or follow the

link below if you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer. The

sign up wiki, sponsored by our PTA, is easy to use. Our next

event around the corner is our Field Day.

While you are checking your calendars to see if you are able to

join in the fun on those days, please save the date, Thursday, May

26th. All who have volunteered in some way this school year are

invited to join us at 2:15 that day for some scrumptious desserts

and a chance to chat with teachers and other volunteers. We will

supervise your students on the playground for you while you

enjoy.

So, here’s a big THANK YOU for the volunteer support that

makes Trillium an exceptional place for our students!

You Can’t Take It With You This warm-hearted, hilarious play is about a creatively kooky family, the Sycamores, who simply do what they want to do, and nothing that they don't want to do. The patriarch of the family, Grandpa Sycamore, spends his time collecting stamps, catching snakes, going to commencements, and dispensing wisdom. He quit the business world thirty-five years prior and never looked back. Surrounding Grandpa is his daughter Penny and her husband Paul, their dance-crazy daughter Essie and her xylophone-playing husband Ed, Irish maid Rheba and her immigrant boyfriend Donald, crazy Russian dance teacher Mr. Kohlenkhov, and other creative characters.
