5 Tips to Get the Most out of the ConferenceSet GoalsMake a list of the things you and/or your department may be having troubles with or would like to learn. Check the attendee list ahead of time to see if there are attendees from a specific college you know to have implemented that project you're looking into. Decide what will maximize your experience and plan accordingly.Make a RoadmapA listing of presentations at this year's conference is on the website. Take some time before you head to Chicago to sit down and look at the options, read the abstracts, and make a roadmap of which sessions you'd like to participate. Download the EventBoard Mobile App on your Windows, iOS, or Android device for on-the-go browsing of sessions, speakers, and conference-related social media updates. The conference program will also be available in PDF form prior to the conference; download it to read on the plane.

Be PreparedBusiness cards are like candy at the conference. Giving your business card out can help you network when the conference is done and can help you remember whom you've talked to. Don't be afraid to flip the card around and jot down a note on what you spoke about -- you're bound to forget a thing or two if you don't!TalkNo, don't talk during a session, but do talk to others. You'll find that you can make a lot of great friends, peers who have gone through or are going through some of the same trials and tribulations that you are, and find fresh ideas.Have a Good TimeMost of all, don't forget to have a good time! Meet new people! Walk up to strangers and say hi, as they may be people with
