Pursuing Excellence In Olympic Performance Sailing.
NEWBERRY / CASEY 2016
We’re On A Mission In June 2012 Sarah and John began their quest towards the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Soon after joining forces, the Newberry/Casey team captured a National Championship title in November. In January 2013 they earned their first ISAF Sailing World Cup gold medal in Miami, Florida. In April 2013 the team traveled to Palma de Mallorca for the second World Cup event at which they secured a solid tenth place finish. They are currently ranked #5 in the world in the Nacra 17 Olympic class.
Their top world ranking shows the dedication and preparation they have put forth early in this quadrennial has paid off, and they are only getting stronger. The months of May and June are core training months for the Nacra 17 World Championship in July. The team is training full-time in the gym and on the water in preparation for the World Championship in The Netherlands. This event will be the selection event for the 2014 Sperry-Topsider U.S. Sailing Team.
Where else can you find excitement, elegance, and an unparalleled return on investment?
We Have An EdgeMixed Gender Sport A man and a woman competing as a team is rare in the Olympics. We join an elite group of male and female athletes who have navigated their differences in order to become the best in the world.
High Performance & ExcitingThe Nacra 17 multihull is a new kind of sailing. It has carbon curved foils that are capable of completely lifting the boat out of the water at speeds up to 27 miles per hour. Its lightweight platform is by far the fastest Olympic class boat on the water today. Think small scale America’s Cup, and even more exciting.
Sarah Newberry
ABOUT:Since she started driving catamarans in 2004, Sarah has put four National titles and thousands of nautical miles under her belt. Last winter Sarah kicked off the 2012 year by winning the first berth on the U.S. Olympic Development Team. What followed were wins at every 2012 event, a record breaking achievement as the first woman to win the U.S. Multihull Championship, and a Gold Medal finish at an ISAF World Cup event. Now, partnered with John Casey, she is ranked fifth in the world, and is working her very hardest to become the best female multihull sailor in history.

John Casey
We believe in preparation.
We bet you do too. Olympic sailing is the pinnacle of our sport. It takes maximum effort and sacrifice to perform at this level. Time away from family and friends, pushing our physical limits, collecting data on and off the water and goal-setting are at the core of an Olympic campaign.
We have made the sacrifice. We have more hours on the water than any U.S. team, possibly more than any team in the world. Every maneuver on the boat is filmed, broken down, structured and rebuilt during detailed team debriefs every training session.
Working in conjunction with the U.S. Sailing Olympic Committee, we have pioneered cutting-edge data collection programs as well as a detailed goal-setting platform .
Our on-land training program is designed for us to peak at the World Championship in July of 2013. With a focus on endurance, agility, strength, physical therapy and proper nutrition, our program puts us on par with the highest level athletes in the world.
The two most effective ways to develop confidence are to perform well and to mentally and physically prepare to perform well.
-Jason Selk, The Performance Coach
Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.
-Vince Lombardi
We want teammates.
Professional sports teams have one goal in mind, winning, but the process of getting there is more important. Teamwork is the only way it happens.
We want to share success with teammates. We want to be associated with successful companies and share that success every day. We want those companies to be proud of being associated with us. This is done by working together as a team to create a joined product of excellence.
What we can bring to the table:
Unique Brand Association and Brand Representation
Yacht racing is an established and solid practice but high-performance dinghy racing is a global adventure sport. Sailors battle it out on a daily basis in even the most dangerous conditions. As athletes we have a unique story to share with your employees, partners, families and clients about perseverance, goal-setting and mental toughness.
Return on Objective
Compared to other professional sports teams, sailing is a low investment in relation to the potential yield. Media coverage and brand association make sponsor return on investment significant, and our ability to make a custom impact on your campaign or organization can help you create objective solutions that mainstream exposure doesn’t offer.
Unlimited Reach & Global Exposure
We sail all over the world. Not only are global publications covering us, but we are available for corporate events worldwide. Our team has a stong digital presence through web and social media, and we are featured by many print and web publications. We also have an official photographer and videographer - this lets us control branding and provides more efficient exposure.
A Full Advertising Platform
Our boat is brandable from the top down, and because we share our experiences with the world via photographs and video media, every square inch of our boat is shared at the same time.
