Results of the Proposed Changes

• Maintain school cohorts• Decrease the number of school transitions for students• Increase in parent involvement with the creation of neighborhood

schools• Effective use of school facilities• Decrease the cost and length of student travel

Transition Plan• Current 9th – 11th grade students will have the option of staying

at their current school (transportation provided) or they will be allowed to attend the new zoned school.

• Elementary and middle school zones will be effective at the beginning of the 2016 – 2017 school year.– Students will have the option of staying at their current school if they

provide their own transportation.
