NEW FIBRE OPTIC ILLUMINATOR FOR STEREO MICROSCOPES Reichert-Jung, U.K. in conjunction with their sister company American Optical Corporation (Fibre Optics Division) announce the introduction of the new model 11-80 Fibre Optic Illuminator, suitable for use within stereo microscopes from any manufacturer. The model 11-80 incorporates a quartz halogen lamp (colour temperature 3400K) and its output is directed at the specimen via self-supporting fibre optic light guides. Single and branched guides are available, thus permitting accurate pin-point illumination of the specimen. The unit incorporates a fan for cooling and has a neat cable storage.
