Are you sick or hurt? Let the editor know so he can put it in the newsletter.
Everyone make special note that the October class is going to be in
“ Omaha NE.” at the Best Western Kelly Inn. We had many requests
for the class to be back in Omaha and not taken to Lincoln, NE as we thought to save
money. The Best Western when I spoke with them a month ago give us everything we
wanted and we will furnish our own food and Drinks.
Joyce and I had 5 days off so we did some traveling through Nebraska. Had a great
time. When we returned we had a doctor appointment for a problem with my left
shoulder. I had Rotator cuff surgery on the right one last Aug. On Sept. 18, 2009 I had
the left rotor cuff surgery done. It all went well. We thank NLA for the get well card.
It will take app. 1 month of no working and then 2 months of light working to get it
healed.
This is the meeting that we will be electing new officers. The positions that will be
open is for President, Vice President, and Director and Hospitality. It has been my
honor to be able to have served the Presidents position for the last 4 years. We all
thank Joyce for all her efforts to take care of hospitality and building the strength of
the association with the ladies. I will be taking the Director position as the president
when he steps down goes to be the director. If Ryan Andersen is elected as President
then there will be the opening of Secretary that will need to be filled.
I want to thank all of the members that have come to all of the classes for the last 4
years. You, the people coming, has kept NLA alive and strong so we did and can have
the finest classes in United States. The instructors that come have told us that we are
one of only a Very few states to have an association that every class you come to is an
ACE ALOA CLASS.

There was items to be bought everywhere
you looked.. Lee Moyer left and Tony
Delgado right will verify that.
Rodney Coffman left and Dale Voigt

lots of good things to buy.
This is one of the things that was in
Rodney’s trailer. This one he had to get
open and by the time it got home again it
was open. Quite a few of the classes we
have had people bring safes and we
opened them at the location.

Norfolk, NE Swap meet Friday Night and Exit Devices and
Exit Alarms on Saturday with David Thielen, CML
Dave Horstman left and Lynn Ply-
messer right. Lots of extremely good
items for sale. Dave’s van in rear and
Scott Hansen’s on right are probably
almost the best equipped in the state.

vices and Exit Alarms with Dave Thielen,CML
Left to right is Smiley Desgranges, Gene Hansen,
Dave Horstman, David Thielen, Ryan Andersen,
Lynn Plymesser.
It was a beautiful evening for the swap meet.
Once the swap meet is over everyone goes inside for the
remainder of the Friday evening time. Every class we
have, as many of them that can make it on Friday night
(husbands & wives) get together and enjoy all sitting
around and visiting. Much is learned listening to the
locksmith talk at this time.
Meet the people in charge of all our businesses. To-
getherness is the main reason for all our success.
Left to right is Audrey Coffman, Liz Turner, Joyce
Howard, Peggy Voigt, and Norma Hoffman. Norma
is Jim Hoffman’s wife and was with Jim when he
founded the NLA.
Left to right is Ryan Andersen, David Thielen, Elmer
Howard.
The Roadway Inn in Norfolk, NE is very nice and has a
wonderful meeting room. Very large. We all enjoy
coming each year here.
Exit Devices and Exit Alarms David Thielen Instructor
Instructor David Thielen,CML did a great job teaching the
class. When you bring in ALOA classes and instructors
like David there is no problem getting the members to
come. Education is our key word to success.
When you hold a ALOA Class ALOA sends many
large boxes of hands on materials and information that
you take home with you and have for later use. In the
classroom you are working with the items that are be-
ing taught.
Our classes provide not only coffee and Pop for the stu-
dents but have apples, oranges, and bananas through out
the day. This all comes with the price you pay for the class.
This is what NLA is all about. This is a Friday night
picture. The friends that you made come 4 times a
year and this is the free time on Friday night that
makes it all worth while. As much education is spread
in this evening almost as much as the real class the next
day. This is the time that everyone can be with the in-
structor and visit about anything.
