As rehearsals for The Merry Wives of Windsor progress, here are some set design and costume sketches that were drawn for director Sari Ketter’s Shakespeare Santa Cruz production of the show. The sets for Blake’s production will closely resemble these designs while the costumes will be inspired by them.

Clockwise from top left: the bar at the Garter Inn, two chaise lounges, a costume sketch for Mistress Quickly (Kelsey Myers ’13), a costume sketch for Sir John Falstaff (George Vojta ’13) in the play’s opening scene, sketches for the Pages (Charlie Haakenson ’13 and Alexandra Peterson ’13) and the Fords (Adam Denoyer ’13 and Megan Olson ’14), a set design for the exterior of the Garter Inn.
