Recent projects:
MBMMBI 2011
2011 was an eventful year for Veridian (M) Sdn Bhd. Apart from venturing into the private sector, we also were involved in
various government projects. Most notable is the MBMMBI project (Memartabatkan Bahasa Malaysia dan Memperku-
kuhkan Bahasa Inggeris – Upholding the Malay Language and Strengthening the English Language).
In the pilot phase of the MBMMBI project, computer labs in schools were converted into digital language labs. Veridian’s
role in this was to supply the software as well as hardware to facilitate this transformation.
The courseware for strengthening the English Language in-
stalled in Primary Schools, uses award-winning animations,
stories, songs, the latest films and games to encourage
imagination and interest in learning by immersing children
in authentic English. It introduces current affairs, news, the
latest films and National Geographic clips to provide chil-
dren with international and up-to-date knowledge. Children
are able to record their own voice and play it back to com-
pare for speaking practice.
The English Language Courseware for Secondary Schools,
comes in 6 levels, develops all aspects of language learning
– listening, reading, speaking and writing. It builds vocabu-
lary and tests comprehension with every activity. With topics
that appeal to teenagers, presented in various forms such as
songs and movie trailers, these lessons are truly interactive
with instant feedback.
The courseware for teaching and learning Bahasa Malaysia
is a learner-centric courseware, suitable for use in an educa-
tional facility or even for self-learning. It is easy to use and
covers various aspects of Bahasa Malaysia. It focuses on
language skills like speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Contents of the lessons are in line with the National Curricu-
lum and learning is enhanced with games, quizzes and ex-
ercises.
To tie these applications together, we have NetSupport
School. NetSupport School is a state-of-the-art classroom
management system that allows the teacher to deploy les-
sons, monitor all the computers in the lab from the teacher’s
pc, group the students according to their ability (immaterial
of where they are physically located in the lab), interact with
the students either as a whole or in groups or even individu-
ally. With NetSupport School, the teacher can exercise more
control over the students’ activities without leaving her pc.

Projectors
