Childhood

❖Neil Alden Armstrong was born on August 5,1930,in Wapakoneta,ohio

❖He became interested in airplanes at a young age.

Later

❖After high school Armstrong became an air canet,or trainee in the US Navy

❖He also studied flight engineering at two universities

❖ In the early 1950s Armstrong was a pilot in the Korean War

NASA

❖ In 1955 Armstrong joined NASA as a test pilot

❖Seven years later NASA chose Armstrong as a astronaut

❖He led the flight of the spacecraft Gemini 8, Launched March 16,1966

First Person

❖ In 1969 Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on the moon

Retired❖ In 1971 Neil Armstrong Retired from

NASA. ❖He continued to teach and to work on

committees about the space program
