Neighbours, Friends and Families have a crucial role to play in preventing woman abuse

Everyone can learn about the warning signs of woman abuse and learn how to help

You can help by reading the brochures and safety cards and by making them available to people you know

Communities working together can make a difference in abused women’s and children’s lives

Talking to abusive men is critical to ending woman abuse

Abusive behaviour won’t go away by itself. There are services in Grey Bruce to help men who abuse

Everyone in Grey Bruce can…

Learn to recognize warning signs and high risk factors and take them seriously

Support abused women and abusive men by talking to them and making sure they know about community supports

Get involved to prevent violence. It’s just like like getting involved when someone is drinking and driving

Contact local service providers or the Assaulted Women’s Helpline if you need help dealing with the issue.

Call the police in an emergency

The campaign will engage both men and women as Community Champions.

We know that men are an untapped resource for violence prevention.

We know that the issue of woman abuse affects men as deeply and as often as women.
