Tax audits are to encourage and inculcate voluntary compliance among taxpayers in the self-assessement enviroment. Whereas, tax investigations are to deter tax evasion. With these enforcement activities, LHDNM hopes to provide a fair tax system for all. This topic is to provide participants a better understanding of compliance activities (audit and investigation).
